Our Club History.

What started as social gatherings at local pubs, clubs and private sheds, a soccer team named ‘Lincoln City’ later to be changed to one of Croatia’s prominent cities- Zadar, formed a small Croatian community within Port Lincoln, eventually leading to the establishment of the Croatian Sporting Club Port Lincoln Incorporated in 1993.

Sports.

Sport has been an integral part of the Croatian Sporting Club since its opening in 1993. Bocce is one of the most popular sports offered at the club, with a bocce ball court of four lanes and a roof with side mesh to protect against wet weather in winter and UV rays during hot summer months.

8-ball is another favoured sport with casual games organised between members and guests for practice, fun and friendly challenges. We also have a team named ‘Croatian Club’ that represent the club and compete in the league organised by the Port Lincoln 8-Ball Association.

Darts are held during two seasons- winter and summer. The Croatian Sporting Club’s representing team ‘Croats’ often use the club for practice, social games, and competing against other teams within the community.

Merchandise.

Check out some of our merchandise available to purchase online or at the Croatian Sporting Club during opening hours. T-shirts and polo shirts are unisex, dark blue and all feature the Croatian Sporting Club logo on the front and 25th anniversary logo on the rear of the shirt. The stubby holders feature the Croatian Sporting Club logo and cheque pattern; a national symbol of Croatia and Croats.
