Our Club Sports.

We are well-known for our game of bocce and distinct bocce rules, we have been proud hosts of the National Open Raffa Bocce Tournament, many local competitions, home to the Port Lincoln 8-ball Association, and even made the cut of Port Lincoln’s episode on The Amazing Race in 2020.

Bocce.

Bocce is one of the most popular sports offered at the Croatian Sporting Club with a bocce ball court of four lanes and a roof with side mesh to protect against wet weather in winter and UV rays during hot summer months. Open bocce is one of the most popular forms for those wanting to play casually. Bocce is a low-impact sport that encourages social interactions and is a great way for seniors to get physical activity. It can be one of the most exciting, easy and relaxing sports a senior can experience. We also offer a ladies and mixed bocce season which is generally held from September through to April on Tuesday mornings and Saturday afternoons.

8-Ball.

8-Ball is another popular sport offered at the Croatian Sporting Club. We currently have a team named ‘Croatian Club’ that consists of 10 members. 8-ball is usually played every Tuesday night, but venues alternate from week to week. Our players often compete in regional and state competitions organised by the Port Lincoln 8-Ball Association. Our team, members and guests often play 8-ball casually for practice, fun or a friendly challenge.

Darts.

‘Croats’ is the name of the team representing the Croatian Sporting Club. Darts are held during two seasons- winter and summer. The summer darts team consists of 6 members with practices and social games organised during club opening hours, and competitions every Wednesday evening. The winter darts team consists of 4 members and much like the summer darts, practice and social games occur during club hours, but the Wednesday evening competitions are held at South’s Football Club.
